Local student startup Urban Vendor on Dragon's Den!Wed, Jan 18th, 2012 A.J. MacQuarrie, a StFX political science student from Boston, MA, and Ms. Wilson of Oakville, ON, were in Toronto last Easter weekend to film for this season of Dragons' Den.
Mr. MacQuarrie came up with the idea for Urban Vendor in August 2009 and incorporated the business in May 2010. "I realized there was an abundance of convenient snacks and drinks, but healthy options were nowhere to be found. I wondered why the vending industry remains so boring.
